Akaiyo Region

Akaiyo Region. Home to some of the most advanced pokémon technology, engineered by teams of researchers. The (somewhat xenophobic) citizens of the island prospered under the success of their creations and lived happily - that is, until the prowess of the scientists attracted the wrong kind of entrepreneurs-turned-activists, who did a little 'research' of their own. It didn't take long for the newly formed Team Glacier, based on the brilliance that is Akaiyo's laboratories, to take their discoveries and form a plan. A plan to turn the island into a prime example for the rest of the world. Akaiyo would soon be completely devoid of pollution and revert to a second ice age, showing the world just what they had coming if they didn't start shaping up.

Of course, you can't keep stuff like that hidden forever, and when it got out, well... let's just say it reached the wrong pair of ears. The worst possible pair of ears, in fact. In protest of Team Glacier's idiocy, Team Glade was founded. They soon became known as the 'antidote' to Team Glacier's plotting; however, such a pristine reputation didn't last long. Team Glade soon abandoned their heroic facade and revealed their true colors - to change Akaiyo themselves, cover it not with snow but with trees. Unlike Glacier, who operated covertly and utilized studying to carefully formulate their operations, Glade chose a 'brawns over brains' ideal. They began to ransack cities and villages in the name of stopping global warming - and they had no intentions of fighting fairly.

This is where you come in. Whether you were born on the island or simply passing through from another region, Akaiyo needs your help. Take up an occupation as trainer, coordinator, or breeder and get yourself a starter pokémon through our innovative starter system. Collect badges, participate in contests, and raise your pokémon as you travel across desert, plains, and swampland. Feeling evil? You can lend a hand to Glacier or Glade and receive commission for the work you do. If that's not appealing, you can start your own team and gather followers of your own. Don't forget, more than humans live on Akaiyo - you can choose to play as a wild pokémon and fulfill your own agenda.
